How nonprofits can visualize data

Graphic note of visualizing data session at 12NTC via Rally.org

Here is another of my favourite sessions from the Nonprofit Technology Conference (#12NTC) by NTEN. This one looked at how to visualize data. I got a chance to see Beth Kanterlive but also learned lots from the other presenters. There are plenty of links included here to resources to help you learn more or help you to visualize your data.

  1. Here is a Wiki where the material related to this session can be found including the slides via Slideshare, a live recording and collaborative notes taken online. If you want to delve into this subject, it’s a great link to follow.
I’m afraid that I was not able to capture many tweets from this first section of the session so some of the resources listed will help round out Beth’s portion of the presentation.

    • Thanks for dropping by Beth! I’m thrilled that you like my Storify version of your data visualization session. You compliment is the highest praise I could receive.

Data tends to be my Darth Vader so I learned a lot and I’m trying to pay it forward and spread the good word. I just finished the Networked Nonprofit. Some of it reinforced what I know and believe but you took the topic in many new directions that helped me to stretch my mind. Needless to say, I’m now looking forward to Measuring the Networked Nonprofit! Time to grab my light sabre I guess!

  1. Wish I could remember how I stumbled up on your blog today but I loved finding this post and was so excited to get to “attend” the session myself by visiting the Wiki. Thanks for the great summary about something I would have totally missed (but desperately need)!

    • While there is a part of me that would love to know how you got here Merritt, what is most important is that you came and that I was able to pay forward to you the great content and resources from this session.

What do you think? Do you have anything to add?
